Br. Nathan Linton OFM Cap
"​Mary: Our Mother and Model"

Br. Nathan Linton was raised in the small farming community of Cumberland, Wisconsin. Following his father’s decision to enter the permanent diaconate, he began discerning God’s own will for his life. This ultimately led Br. Nathan to enter formation with the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St. Joseph in August of 2015. He professed his first vows in 2017 and remains a simply professed friar in formation for the religious priesthood. In 2019, he graduated with his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Br. Nathan is currently in his second year of theological studies at Catholic Theological Union in Hyde Park.

​Theo McManigal

Theo McManigal is the Director of Lifelong Faith Formation here at Our Lady of the Holy Family parish. He is from Chicago Ridge, IL, a suburb southwest of the city. He went to Our Lady of the Ridge for grade school and Brother Rice for High School. After that, he was in seminary formation for several years at St. Joseph College Seminary at Loyola University and Mundelein Seminary. His role is to implement and run various programs at the parish such as religious education and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), as well as to update the website and the social media pages.

Rita Cardoso

​Rita Cardoso was born in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico and moved to Chicago with her family in 1970.  Has been active in the church at various times of her life in different ministries mostly with youth and families and leadership roles.  She earned a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.  Her professional work has included working as a Program Director for a youth organization, Youth Minister in a Parish in Pilsen, and School Social Worker in and out of Chicago.  She and her husband will celebrate 25 years of marriage this May and together have a teenage daughter and son.
